		<description><![CDATA[Mayor Sheafer was a great mayor and governor and a driving force behind the urban renovation of Baltimore, however I do have to set the record straight on how he learned that the aquarium opening would be delayed. Frank Gunther and I had regular meetings with the mayor and city officials throughout the construction phase and it was Frank and I that had to &quot;break the news&quot; of the delay. Frank and I &quot;took the heat&quot; that day in the mayor&#039;s office and assured him that we would do everything in our power to  insure that the aquarium would open in August, which actually turned out to be better for focusing attention on the facility and leading to the record setting attendance of the first year.]]></description>
