We will be releasing the turtle at 11 am on the 19th, during the Maryland Coast Day event at Assateague State Park. The release will take place on the beach at the Day Use Area of Assateague State Park. When driving, take the third right after the Assateague Island bridge into the parking lot. Yes, the release is open to the public and we welcome you to come watch! We will be releasing the turtle at 11 am during the Coast Day event on the beach at the Day Use Area of Assateague State Park. When driving, take the third right after the Assateague Island bridge into the parking lot.

When will Flight & Release be released off of Assategue on Saturday 9/12/09. That may be a nice day trip to take with the children to observe from a distance, although I don’t want to travel a long distance to miss the experience all together

I enjoyed tracking Hamilton the seal for a while – hopefully this transmitted will stay on long enough for us to see where he’s heading!
