JoAn, there have been no recent sitings of Ilya but officials continue to monitor the area, and are asking the public to be mindful when out on boats in the area.

In these situations, officials will only intervene is the animal is in danger, or in poor health. We believe Ilya was here feeding and has probably continued on her way. Local water temperatures are ok for manatees during this time of year.
